Having owned dogs of various breeds for most of my life, I imagined that along the doggie trail  I’d been there, done that and had even bought the Tee shirt.
 My last  fourteen year stretch had been with my old knock-about cattle dog, Rusty and after his death I was determined that I wouldn’t seek any other companions for Rusty was a special dog.  
 But capricious fate ordained otherwise and a two year old mini-foxie Flicka entered into my life, and along with this intelligent little Prima Donna , an unexpected steep learning curve.    
 I still fight against my life being controlled by the loveable Flicka, but most times it is hard to decipher  just who is doing the controlling  and who is flirting.
