Writing this book has not been an easy task. I have tried as much as I could to put together those momentous events that have been in the minds of Gambians for more than 22 years rule of tyranny and dictatorship. Repairing the wounds of the victims and their families caused by Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya. Abdul-Aziz Jemus Junkung Jammeh, Naasiru Deen, Babili Mansa. Reparations Reconciliation, Healing and Memorialisation are what every Gambian is hoping for. Since the 7 party coalitions of 2016 democratically defeated the 22-year dictator and President Adama Barrow became the President of the Republic of The Gambia 19th. January 2017, Gambians have had great expectations and are ready to tackle the direct results of 22 years of authoritarian rule and human rights violations. During that time in most cases, there was no effective investigation and perpetrators have not been brought to justice. On 13 December 2017, the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission Act was adopted by the National Assembly and assented to by President Adama Barrow on 13th. January 2018.
